The monster that is the Brownbacks organisation is awaking from it’s winter slumber, stretching out and shaking off the cobweb’s.

The dates will be confirmed week commencing 22nd Feb, to get advance notice offers of sponsorship, marshalling and other suitable bribes will be accepted. It’s looking like a 4 or 5 date series running through the year.

The good news is that some of the 2009 sponsors have come back on board and we are working hard on filling the gaps left by those who sadly can’t be with us in 2010. We are eternallygrateful to the 2009 sponsors and wish them all the best for the future. If YOU want sponsor a category or a spot prize or generally help with the runing costs/ buy us new gear we can’t wait to hear from you.

Any changes in 2010 I hear you ask?

PROMOTION: yes we are going to promote some of you up a category, it’s mainly going to affect the Weekend Warriors and Mountain Diva’s. Why? I hear you cry! Well we want our category structure to work and with some riders dominating the middle categories we feel the need to nudge them up to play with people at their level. Appeals will be heard, so don’t panic if you’ve put 3 stone on like I have this Christmas.

DH Lite: lots of people are asking about this, we are working on the concept but the XC series is the prime focus. Subject to agreement with the various bodies (BC, Lancs CC, the wife!(only joking)) etc and the availability of sutable timing gear we will be trying something later this year. Riders in the XC series will get priority for the limited places that will be available. That’s all the info for now on this so please don’t pester, there are quite a few potential showstoppers for the team to overcome and we will not say more until it’s definitely on.

Organising: we have grown the team with Andy and Andy, and if anyone else has a burning desire to help, get in contact. Ideally you will have helped out or raced in series one and two and don’t mind lots of unpaid work for no reward other than earache from the partner about “that bl**dy race series” . You need to be local or it will be impractical.

photo’s race 18/10/09

Uncategorized

http://www.ikam99.co.uk/ikam99/Lee_Quarry_181009.html

http://www.ikam99.co.uk/ikam99/Lee_Quarry_181009.html

why we do this

Uncategorized

Can i just say what a good day was had by both my brother(racing) and myself(marshalling).
